Penguin Teen Social - #MiddleGrade5
The only thing better than new books is talking about new upcoming books with people who are as passionate about it as you are.
On June 1st, I was lucky to attend Penguin Teen Social at Penguin Teen's head office in Toronto. Being physically present at the event, among other bloggers and influencers, felt surreal. I think the last in-person event was back in early 2020… it's been a hot minute.
Besides mingling, enjoying snacks, taking Instax photos, and making bracelets, we got to pick up various Young Adult and Middle-Grade ARCs before the presentation.
The presentation of new releases was also live-streamed on YouTube. Still, I felt so much happier sitting on a plastic stool, juggling my phone, a pile of books and snacks at the same time. What can I say - I love multitasking, and I am mostly good at it. Mostly.
The new releases were presented in two categories: middle-grade and young adult. This will be the first part of my blog devoted to the middle-grade announcements.
